Gestapo Mars (2015) is a pulp science fiction novel by Victor Gischler. Carter Sloan is a trained killer working for a fascist government who has been frozen for 200 years. When he wakes up, his mission takes him across a solar system that has changed drastically since he went under.
The book is fast, violent, and played for dark laughs. It fits with Gischler’s taste for genre fiction that does not take itself too seriously, sitting somewhere between spy thriller and science fiction satire.
