The Cape Perdido series consists of three mysteries set along the rugged northern California coast. Point Deception (2001) is the first, followed by Cyanide Wells (2003) and Cape Perdido (2005). Each book features different protagonists but shares the same atmospheric coastal setting, where small-town secrets and the isolation of the landscape play into the mystery plots.
