Border Trilogy 2 by Amanda Scott is a five-book series set in the Scottish-English borderlands, a region defined by raids, feuds, and uneasy truces. The series includes Border Bride (1990), Border Wedding (2008), Border Fire (2000), Border Lass (2008), and Border Moonlight (2009). Two of these titles, Border Bride and Border Fire, also appear in the original Border Trilogy and the Border Nights series. The newer entries, Border Wedding, Border Lass, and Border Moonlight, were all published in 2008-2009 and bring fresh characters into the same borderland world. Scott’s knowledge of the region’s history, from reiver raids to cross-border alliances, gives each novel a strong sense of place. The overlapping books between this series and the original Border Trilogy give readers flexibility in how they approach the collection, though reading them in publication order works well for following the evolution of Scott’s writing.
