Bob Shaw’s short fiction appeared in anthologies throughout his career. His contributions to the Analog series in the late 1960s reflect his early association with John W. Campbell’s magazine, while later appearances in collections like The Arbor House Treasury of Modern Science Fiction (1980) and Isaac Asimov’s Aliens & Outworlders (1983) show his growing reputation.
Dark Voices 3 (1991) placed him alongside horror writers, a reminder that Shaw could work outside his usual genre when he chose to. Emerald Eye (2005) collected Irish SF writing, giving Shaw a prominent place in that tradition. The Best of Jim Baen’s Universe (2007) was among the last anthologies to feature his work.
