Beth Revis’s standalone novels show the breadth of her interests outside her main series. The Body Electric (2014) is a science fiction thriller set in a future where technology allows people to enter and alter memories, following a girl who discovers a conspiracy that threatens everything she knows. It was originally self-published and found a strong following among fans of her Across the Universe trilogy.
A World Without You (2016) takes a different approach entirely. The novel features a teen at a school for troubled youth who believes he has the power to time travel. The story alternates between his perspective and his family’s, exploring mental health with care and honesty. Blood and Feathers (2022) moves into Southern gothic territory. All three books can be read independently of each other and of Revis’s series work.
