The Batwoman graphic novels collect six volumes of Kate Kane’s solo adventures in Gotham City. Published between 2012 and 2015, the series built on the character work Rucka had done in establishing Batwoman as a major DC Comics character. Kate’s military training, family complications, and personal life give the series depth beyond standard superhero action.
Rucka’s involvement with Batwoman helped establish her as one of DC’s most well-developed characters. The six volumes cover her growth from a new vigilante into a fully realized hero with her own supporting cast and rogues gallery.
