The Bancroft Brothers is an early Regency romance duology by Suzanne Enoch, published in the late 1990s. The two books follow the Bancroft brothers as they find love under complicated circumstances in Regency England.
By Love Undone (1998) introduces a heroine whose reputation has been ruined by scandal, and a Bancroft brother who agrees to help restore her standing. Taming Rafe (1999) shifts to the wilder younger brother, who inherits a crumbling estate and finds himself drawn to the woman determined to keep it running. Both books are full of the sharp banter that Enoch became known for as her career progressed.
This was one of Enoch’s first connected series, written just a few years after her debut. Readers who enjoy her later, longer series will find the same mix of humor and social tension here, though in a more compact two-book format.
