The Bad Luck Brides series runs eight books from 1996 to 2007, set primarily in 1880s Fort Worth, Texas. The McBride women have a reputation for bringing bad luck, and each book follows a different family member as she falls for someone brave enough to ignore the superstition.
The first three books carry the “Bad Luck Wedding” naming pattern, the middle two move the action overseas, and the final three shift to “Her” titles. The series was published under the name Geralyn Dawson and established the Texas-set historical romance voice that Emily March would later bring to her contemporary work.
