The Animas Forks Western series takes place in a frontier boomtown perched at 11,000 feet in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado Territory. After a treaty with the Utes opens the high country to mining in the 1870s, prospectors, outlaws, preachers, and drifters all converge on Animas Forks looking for fortune or trouble. The twelve books follow a rotating cast of characters through the daily conflicts and dangers of life in a remote mining camp.
