Angels of Mercy is one of Charlotte Hubbard’s earlier series, set on the American frontier in the 1800s. The four books, published between 2005 and 2011, blend western historical settings with romance and themes of faith and family. A Patchwork Family starts the series, and the later books follow connected characters through their own love stories.
The series predates Hubbard’s shift to Amish fiction and has more in common with traditional historical romance, though the themes of community and belief carry forward into her later work.
