Amanda Flower’s Andi Boggs series is a middle grade series following the adventures of young Andi. Andi Unexpected (2013) introduces the character, with Andi Under Pressure (2014) and Andi Unstoppable (2015) continuing her story.
The three Andi-titled books form the core of the series and were published by Zondervan, a Christian publishing house. They are aimed at younger readers and have a faith-based element woven into the adventure stories. The series also includes the “Plain” mystery novels, starting with A Plain Death (2012), which are set in an Amish community and have a different tone from the Andi titles.
Flower is far better known today for her adult cozy mystery series, including the Amish Candy Shop Mysteries and the Amish Matchmaker Mysteries. The Andi Boggs books show an earlier stage of her career when she was writing for a younger audience. Readers familiar with her adult work will recognize her interest in community-based stories, even in these middle grade novels.
