Amy Lukavics’s four standalone novels span from 2015 to 2018: Daughters Unto Devils, The Women in the Walls, The Ravenous, and Nightingale. Each book is set in a different environment, from a frontier cabin to a decaying mansion to a hospital, but all share a common thread of ordinary places becoming sites of horror.
The books are aimed at a YA audience but read darker than many YA titles. Lukavics leans into gothic and body horror elements, and her protagonists are typically young women confronting threats that are both physical and psychological. The four novels make for a compact body of horror fiction that can be read in any order.
