Bruce Coville’s Alien Adventures is a four-book series for younger readers, published between 1993 and 1998. It kicks off with the memorably titled Aliens Ate My Homework and ends with the equally fun Aliens Stole My Body. In between are I Left My Sneakers in Dimension X and The Search for Snout, both of which keep the same goofy, kid-friendly energy that the first book established.
Coville was one of the go-to authors for middle-grade science fiction in the 1990s, and you can tell from the titles alone that these books don’t take themselves too seriously. The series came out over five years, about one book every year or two, and each entry builds on the last. Start with Aliens Ate My Homework and read them in order.
