Alastair MacNeill’s standalone novels were published between 1995 and 1999, during the later years of his UNACO writing. These six books are original thrillers published under his own name, separate from the “Alistair MacLean’s” branding of the UNACO series. They include Rendezvous (1995), The Devil’s Door (1996), Moonblood (1997), Double-Blind (1998), Damage Control (1999), and Counterplot (1999).
The standalone books cover similar ground to the UNACO novels, with action-driven plots and international settings. They gave MacNeill a chance to write outside the framework of MacLean’s UNACO concept and develop his own characters and storylines.
