Cathy Gillen Thacker’s Accidental Dads series has six books spread over a surprisingly long window, from 1995 to 2012. The bulk of the series arrived in the mid-to-late 1990s, with Mommy Heiress and Daddy Christmas both published in 1995, Baby Romeo: P.I. in 1996, and Cowboy Cootchie Coo and She’s Having His Baby in 1998. Then there was a fourteen-year gap before Baby Romeo closed out the series in 2012.
The titles alone make the premise pretty clear: these are lighthearted romance stories about men who unexpectedly find themselves in fatherhood situations. Thacker is a prolific Harlequin author, and the playful book names are right in line with her style.
