Abe Moss has written fourteen standalone horror novels since 2019, separate from his Dread Void series. These books cover a wide range of horror subgenres. The Writhing and Gills lean into body horror, while Under the Wicked Moon and By the Light of His Lantern have a more gothic, atmospheric feel. Little Emmett and A Ghost Arrives round out his early output.
Moss continued publishing standalone novels alongside the Dread Void series. Ruby Holloway Reads After Dark arrived in 2021, followed by Our Mother in the Lake and Wicked Was the Night in 2023. His 2024 output was especially productive, with The Restless Ones, Morsels, and The Three-Candle Prayer all appearing that year. Sanguine Summer (2025) is his latest release.
Since these are standalone books, they can be read in any order. Each tells its own complete story, so readers new to Abe Moss can pick up whichever title sounds most appealing without worrying about spoilers or continuity.
