The A Girl series is a romantic comedy trilogy that begins with About a Girl (2013). Tess Brookes, an advertising creative who has just lost her job, accidentally ends up in Hawaii pretending to be someone else when a case of mistaken identity lands her a photography gig she is not at all qualified for. The mix-up leads to romantic complications, professional chaos, and a trip that changes the direction of her life.
What a Girl Wants and A Girl’s Best Friend continue the story as Tess sorts out her career as a photographer and her tangled love life. The series has Kelk’s usual blend of witty dialogue, travel settings, and a heroine who is trying to figure herself out while everything around her goes sideways. It is a lighter, faster read than the I Heart series and wraps up in three books.
