A Dericott Tale is a series of medieval fairy tale retellings by Melanie Dickerson, beginning with Court of Swans in 2021. The books follow members of the Dericott family through stories inspired by classic fairy tales, set against a backdrop of medieval castles, political intrigue, and romance.
Unlike the standalone format of the Healer’s Apprentice series, the Dericott Tale books share a tighter family connection. Each novel features a different Dericott sibling as the main character while building on events from earlier installments.
