Dr. Lyssa Peate has a respectable career discovering new planets. She has published research, attended conferences, and built the kind of reputation that earns grant funding. None of her colleagues know that she spends her off-hours as Razia, a space pirate who picks up bounty hunting contracts on the side.
Razia is not exactly feared across the galaxy. She holds the dubious distinction of being the least wanted pirate in the universe, a fact that bothers her more than she’d like to admit. Her double life gets more complicated when she takes on a new intern at her day job who seems a little too interested in her schedule, her habits, and her unexplained absences. Whether the intern is a spy, an admirer, or something else entirely becomes a problem Lyssa can’t solve by shooting at it.
S. Usher Evans built the Razia series around the gap between who Lyssa pretends to be and who she actually is. The books mix space opera action with humor and romance, following Lyssa as she tries to keep both halves of her life from collapsing into each other. The series ran for seven entries between 2014 and 2017, including both full novels and shorter works.
