Jack Grenard lost his wife to demons. That loss turned him into a hunter. He relocated to Atlanta with his partner Cam Macarro, and together they’ve spent years tracking and killing demons during the quadrennial uprisings, the periodic surges when demons break through into the human world.
The Demon Spring trilogy begins during one of those uprisings, but this time something is different. Jack encounters a demon that saves a human life instead of ending one. That single event forces Jack to question everything he thought he knew about the creatures he’s been killing. The trilogy follows Jack as he confronts the possibility that the war between humans and demons might be more complicated than he was taught.
By the time the Demon Fall trilogy opens, Jack has stepped away from active hunting. He’s living in Seattle with Anya, trying to build something quieter. But demons don’t care about retirement plans, and new threats drag him back into a world he thought he’d left behind. The second trilogy deals with the cost of going back after you’ve already walked away, and whether Jack can protect the life he’s built while facing dangers that won’t leave him alone.
