Jack Dillon is a fictional character and the protagonist of Mike Faricy’s Jack Dillon Dublin Tales series. A former U.S. Marshal, Dillon is sent to Dublin to escort a fugitive named Daniel Ackerman back to the States. When a Russian criminal organization sends thugs to prevent the extradition, the assignment falls apart and Dillon ends up permanently stationed in Dublin with the Garda Siochana Special Detective Unit.
Working alongside his partner Detective Inspector Paddy Suel, Dillon investigates crimes ranging from mob revenge plots to missing persons cases across Dublin. As an American navigating Irish law enforcement and culture, the series has a fish-out-of-water quality that runs through all 22 books.
