Wendy Francis worked as a book editor at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Perseus Books for nearly fifteen years before writing her first novel. She started Three Good Things while home with her infant son, and it was published in 2013. She has written seven standalone novels since then, most of them set during summer.
Her books share a formula without being formulaic: multiple narrators, family drama, secrets that surface at inconvenient times, and settings that involve beaches, summer houses, or sailboats. If you like one, you will probably like the others. She publishes with Simon & Schuster’s imprints and has maintained a roughly every-other-year pace since her debut.
