The Texas Brand series was created by Maggie Shayne, a New York Times bestselling romance author, beginning with The Littlest Cowboy in 1996. Set on a Texas cattle ranch, the series follows the five Brand brothers and their sister as they find love. The nine-book series ran through 2001 and included titles like The Baddest Virgin in Texas, Badlands Bad Boy, and The Outlaw Bride.
Shayne continued the family story with the Oklahoma All-Girl Brands, a spinoff series featuring the next generation. Starting with The Brands Who Came for Christmas (2000), this series follows the Brand women through their own romantic adventures. Sweet Vidalia Brand (2014) and A Brand of Christmas (2015) returned to the family years after the original series ended.
The Brand books are contemporary western romances published through Silhouette and Harlequin, with each novel focusing on one family member and their love interest.
