The Sir Roger Shallot books are a series of Tudor-era historical mysteries written by Paul Doherty under the pen name Michael Clynes. Set during the reign of Henry VIII, the books are narrated by Sir Roger Shallot, a rogue and servant of Cardinal Wolsey who gets caught up in political intrigue and murder.
The six novels were published between 1991 and 1996. Each book is named after a type of crime or death, from The White Rose Murders to The Relic Murders, and follows Shallot as he investigates cases connected to the Tudor court.
