Sian O’Gorman writes contemporary fiction with Irish settings and a focus on relationships between women. Her first novel, Friends Like Us, came out in 2016, and she has published steadily since then with 11 standalone novels. Many of her books are set in or around Dublin, with the Sandycove novels drawing on the coastal community south of the city.
Her recent books, including The Sandycove Supper Club (2022), The Sandycove Sunset Swimmers (2023), and The Girls of Sandycove (2024), form an informal group connected by their shared setting. O’Gorman writes about everyday life with warmth and attention to the bonds between friends and family members.
