Sara Nisha Adams is a British writer and editor from Hertfordshire, of Indian and English heritage. She lives in London. Her debut novel, The Reading List (2021), was inspired by her grandfather and his life in Wembley. The book was a Goodreads Choice Awards finalist for Fiction.
The Reading List follows Mukesh Patel, a grieving widower, and Aleisha, a teenager reluctantly working at the local library, who are brought together by a handwritten reading list found inside a library book. Her second novel, The Twilight Garden (2022), is about two feuding neighbors who join forces to bring a neglected community garden back to life. Both books center on connection, community, and the small things that bring strangers together.
