Peter Danielson is a house pseudonym used for the Children of the Lion historical fiction series, published by Bantam Books between 1980 and 1995. The 19-book saga was primarily written by George Warren, who created the series and wrote the first fourteen volumes. Later books were completed by Franklin King, Hugh Zachary, and James Reasoner.
The series follows two intertwined family lines across centuries of ancient Near Eastern history, from the time of Abraham through the reign of King David. It was part of a wave of historical sagas published by Bantam in the 1980s, and its mix of biblical history with adventure fiction attracted a steady readership over its fifteen-year run.
