Penny Junor has spent four decades writing about the British royal family and other public figures. Her first book, a biography of Princess Diana published in 1983, established her as a royal commentator, and she has returned to the subject repeatedly with books on Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Harry, and the inner workings of the monarchy itself.
Beyond royalty, Junor has written biographies of Margaret Thatcher, Richard Burton, and John Major, as well as a memoir about her father, the journalist and broadcaster Sir John Junor. She also ghostwrote Wonderful Tonight, the autobiography of Pattie Boyd, and co-authored The Man Who Lives with Wolves with Shaun Ellis. Her book The Firm examines how the royal household operates as an institution.
