Nick Medina writes horror fiction grounded in Native American experience. His debut novel, Sisters of the Lost Nation (2023), follows a young Indigenous woman investigating the disappearance of girls from her tribal nation’s new casino resort. Indian Burial Ground (2024) and The Whistler (2025) continued his run of horror novels that weave real cultural traditions into supernatural stories.
Before his novels, Medina contributed to horror anthologies including Big Book of New Short Horror and Under the Stairs, both published in 2011. His work stands out in the horror genre for its focus on Indigenous characters and communities, bringing perspectives that are rarely seen in mainstream horror fiction.
