The Mitch Rapp series follows a CIA counter-terrorism operative through 24 novels of political intrigue and action. Vince Flynn created the character and wrote the first thirteen books, starting with Transfer of Power in 1999. Rapp is an aggressive, results-driven agent willing to go further than conventional operatives to stop terrorist threats against the United States. The series became a New York Times bestselling franchise.
After Flynn’s death in 2013, Kyle Mills took over the series with The Survivor (2015) and continued writing Mitch Rapp novels. Don Bentley has also contributed entries. American Assassin (2010), a prequel about Rapp’s early years, was adapted into a 2017 film starring Dylan O’Brien. The series has grown to 24 books, with Denied Access published in 2025.
