Micah Dalton is a pen name used by Carsten Stroud for a series of four CIA spy thrillers published between 2007 and 2010. Stroud, a Canadian-American writer best known for his non-fiction book Close Pursuit (1987) and the Niceville trilogy, used the name of his protagonist as the byline for these books. The series follows Agent Micah Dalton, a veteran CIA clandestine service operative, through missions that span the globe.
Stroud brought his background in crime writing and journalism to the espionage genre with this series. The books were published by Signet (a Penguin imprint) and received praise for their authentic tradecraft details and fast pacing. After completing The Skorpion Directive in 2010, Stroud returned to writing under his own name.
