Marc Maron is a comedian, actor, and podcaster whose career spans stand-up stages, radio, television, and books. His podcast WTF with Marc Maron, launched in 2009, became one of the most popular interview shows in the medium, known for long, unguarded conversations recorded in his garage.
His three books reflect different stages of his career. The Jerusalem Syndrome (2001) covers his early years in stand-up and his struggles with addiction. Attempting Normal (2013) collects essays about his life and relationships. Waiting for the Punch (2017), co-authored with Brendan McDonald, draws on transcripts from WTF interviews to build a book about life through the words of his guests.
