Luke Jennings is a British journalist and author who has written for The Observer, Vanity Fair, and The New Yorker. His literary fiction includes the novels Breach Candy (1994), Atlantic (1995), and Beauty Story (1998). His non-fiction memoir Blood Knots (2010), about fly fishing, was shortlisted for the Samuel Johnson Prize and the William Hill Sports Book of the Year.

Jennings is best known for creating the Killing Eve series. The story of Villanelle, an elite assassin, and Eve Polastri, the MI6 agent pursuing her, first appeared as a self-published series of Kindle novellas beginning in 2015. These were collected into the novel Codename Villanelle (2017), which became the basis for the BBC America television series Killing Eve, starring Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh. The follow-up novels No Tomorrow and Die for Me continued the series.

He has also written the Stars series for younger readers and the thriller Panic (2023). New Killing Eve novels, Resurrection and Long Shot, are scheduled for 2025.
