The Misadventures of Tallulah Casey Reading Order

Louise Rennison was a British comedian and author who found international success with her Confessions of Georgia Nicolson series, which she wrote between 1999 and 2009. The series follows Georgia Nicolson, a self-described “sex goddess in training” navigating the social terrors of British teenage life – school, boys, her deranged cat Angus, and her completely embarrassing family. The books are written as diary entries and are notable for their comic voice, which is dense with British slang and teenage logic.

The series ran to ten main books plus companion non-fiction titles. Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging (1999) was the debut and won the Nestlé Smarties Book Prize in the UK. It was later adapted into the 2008 film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. Rennison followed the main Georgia series with a three-book spin-off, The Misadventures of Tallulah Casey (2010-2013), featuring a different protagonist attending a performing arts school.

Rennison died in 2016. The Georgia Nicolson books have remained in print and have introduced subsequent generations of teen readers to her brand of full-throttle British comedy. The novels are best read in publication order, as Georgia’s ongoing romantic saga with various boys is a continuous thread through all ten books.
