Jordy Rosenberg is an American writer and professor whose debut novel, Confessions of the Fox (2018), attracted strong critical attention. The book reimagines the real-life 18th-century London thief Jack Sheppard as a trans man, told through the frame of a modern academic editing a newly discovered manuscript. It was longlisted for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize.
Rosenberg is also an academic who teaches at a university. His second novel, Night Night Fawn, is expected in 2026. His fiction combines historical research with questions about identity, power, and who gets to tell whose story.
