J.S. Monroe, also known as Jon Stock, is a British thriller writer who has published eleven books since 1997. Under the name Jon Stock, he wrote the Daniel Marchant spy trilogy, and as J.S. Monroe, he writes standalone psychological thrillers.
The Daniel Marchant books (Dead Spy Running, Games Traitors Play, Dirty Little Secret) are traditional espionage fiction featuring an MI6 officer. His J.S. Monroe novels, including Find Me, Forget My Name, and No Place to Hide, are more focused on psychological suspense and unreliable narrators. The name change marked a shift in genre, but both sides of his catalog share precise plotting and a talent for building tension.
