Ginger Bolton writes the Deputy Donut cozy mystery series, which began with Survival of the Fritters in 2018. The books follow Emily Westhill, who left her career after her police detective husband’s death and opened a donut shop in Fallingbrook, Wisconsin. Her shop cat, Deputy Donut, became the store’s namesake and unofficial mascot.
