George Dawes Green is an American novelist and cultural figure best known for his literary thrillers and for founding The Moth, the acclaimed storytelling organization. His novels include The Juror (1995), which was adapted into a film starring Demi Moore, and The Caveman’s Valentine (1994), which won the Edgar Award and was also made into a movie.
Green publishes infrequently, with long gaps between books. His most recent novel, The Kingdoms of Savannah (2022), came more than a decade after Ravens (2009). Despite his small output, each book has received strong critical attention.
