Flynn Berry is an American thriller writer. She studied at Brown University and the Michener Center for Writers in Austin, Texas. Her first novel, Under the Harrow (2016), won the Edgar Award for Best First Novel, which is a strong debut considering the competition in that category.
She has published four novels. The first two, Under the Harrow and A Double Life (2018), are standalone thrillers. Northern Spy (2021) is set during the Troubles in Northern Ireland and was a Reese’s Book Club Pick. Trust Her (2024) is a direct sequel, continuing the story of sisters Tessa and Marian Daly three years after the events of Northern Spy. Her books are literary thrillers with precise, controlled prose and a willingness to take her time building tension.
