Eric Blehm is an American non-fiction author and journalist. His books focus on true stories of courage and survival, primarily in military and wilderness settings. The Last Season (2006), his debut, investigated the disappearance of backcountry ranger Randy Morgenson in Sequoia National Park and became a finalist for the National Outdoor Book Award.
The Only Thing Worth Dying For (2010) told the story of a small Green Beret team during the early days of the war in Afghanistan. Fearless (2012) became a New York Times bestseller with its account of Navy SEAL Adam Brown’s life. Legend (2015) profiled Roy Benavidez, who received the Medal of Honor for actions in Vietnam. His most recent book, The Darkest White (2024), explores extreme skiing. He has also written two children’s books about barn owls in his Owl series.
