Emily Hauser is a classicist and novelist who writes both historical fiction and academic non-fiction about the ancient Greek world. Her Golden Apple Trilogy retells stories from Greek mythology through the eyes of women who were sidelined in the original texts. She holds a PhD in Classics from Yale and has taught at universities in the UK and US.
Her non-fiction work focuses on women’s roles in ancient literature, including How Women Became Poets (2023) and Mythica (2025). Hauser’s writing bridges the gap between scholarship and popular storytelling, making classical texts accessible to general readers.
