Elizabeth Camden writes Christian historical fiction set primarily in Gilded Age and early twentieth-century America. A research librarian by day with master’s degrees in both history and library science, she brings detailed period accuracy to her novels. Her debut, The Lady of Bolton Hill (2011), introduced readers to her style of pairing intelligent heroines with layered historical settings.

Camden’s books often feature women working in fields that were unusual for their era. Against the Tide, which won the RITA Award and the Christy Award, follows a translator at the U.S. Navy’s drug enforcement office. Her Empire State series is set against the construction of major New York infrastructure, while the Hope and Glory trilogy centers on characters in turn-of-the-century Washington, D.C. Her Blackstone Legacy series explores a wealthy family’s secrets in early 1900s New York.

Her recent Women of Midtown series continues her focus on early 20th century New York, and the upcoming Far & Away series moves into new territory. Camden lives near Orlando, Florida, and continues to balance her work as a librarian with her writing career.
