Dot Hutchison is an American author of thrillers and suspense fiction. She is best known for The Collector series, which began with The Butterfly Garden in 2016. The series explores dark themes of captivity, trauma, and recovery, connected through a pair of FBI agents who investigate the cases across all four books.
Before The Collector series, Hutchison published A Wounded Name (2013), a young adult retelling of Hamlet. She has also written Deadly Waters (2020), a standalone thriller set at a Florida university.
