Diana Wallis Taylor is an American author based in San Diego, California. She was first published at age twelve when she sold a poem to a church newspaper. After earning a degree in Elementary Education from San Diego State University, she taught elementary school for 22 years before turning to fiction writing full-time.
Her novels reimagine the lives of women from the Bible. Each book takes a figure who appears briefly in scripture and builds a full story around her circumstances, relationships, and interior life. Her novel Claudia, Wife of Pontius Pilate was nominated for the ACFW Carol Award, and she has been named Writer of the Year by the San Diego Christian Writers Guild. She also writes poetry and nonfiction on Christian topics.
