Daisy Alpert Florin attended Dartmouth College and earned graduate degrees from Columbia University and Bank Street Graduate School of Education. She received the 2016 Kathryn Gurfein Writing Fellowship at Sarah Lawrence College and was a fellow in the BookEnds novel revision fellowship. She lives in Connecticut with her family.
Her debut novel, My Last Innocent Year (2023), is set at a fictional elite college in New Hampshire during the winter of 1998. The story follows Isabel Rosen, a working-class Jewish student in her final semester, as she reckons with a nonconsensual sexual encounter against the backdrop of the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal. The novel examines power, class, consent, and the complicated process of finding one’s own voice.
