Cupcake Diaries is a children’s book series written under the pen name Coco Simon, published by Simon and Schuster. The first four books arrived in 2011, each one introducing a different member of the friend group: Katie and the Cupcake Cure, Mia in the Mix, Emma on Thin Icing, and Alexis and the Perfect Recipe. From there, the series alternated between the four girls’ perspectives, releasing multiple titles per year through 2021. By the time Mia’s Sweet Surprises came out, the main series had reached 34 books.
Cupcake Diaries is aimed at readers aged 8 and up, and the books blend friendship stories with a baking theme.
