Christine Nolfi ran a public relations firm in Cleveland before she became a novelist. She closed the business after traveling to the Philippines and adopting a sibling group of four children. Writing came next. Her first books were the Liberty series, set in a fictional small town in Ohio. Treasure Me (2011) launched the five-book run, and the stories are built around community ties, second chances, and women sorting through complicated pasts.
The Sweet Lake series followed a similar template but with a tighter focus. Three novels set in another Ohio town: Sweet Lake (2017), The Comfort of Secrets (2017), and The Season of Silver Linings (2018). Lake Union Publishing picked up the trilogy, and it won recognition at the International Book Awards and the Royal Palm Literary Awards.
Later books like The Road She Left Behind (2019) and The Passing Storm (2021) continued in the women’s fiction space. The Passing Storm earned a gold medal at the International Book Awards and drew praise from Publishers Weekly. The HeavenScribe series (2015) is an outlier in her catalog, a three-part story with metaphysical and spiritual elements set in Charleston, South Carolina.
Nolfi lives in South Carolina with her husband.
