C.R. Chandler was born in Pennsylvania and later moved to the West Coast, where she has lived in both Southern and Northern California. She currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and writes full-time. Chandler dreamed of becoming a fiction author from high school, but after college she took a more practical career path to support herself and her daughter. She published her debut novel, One Final Breath, in 2020 and has written over 40 books since.
Chandler is best known for her two thriller series. The Special Agent Ricki James series follows a criminal investigator with the National Park Service who takes on dangerous cases in the Pacific Northwest. The Gin Reilly FBI Thriller series features an FBI agent in the Critical Crimes Unit who draws on a deeply personal connection to criminal behavior. Both series are fast-paced mysteries with strong female leads and plenty of suspense.
