Brent Towns writes thrillers and westerns, with a career stretching from 1982 to the present. His largest body of work is the Black Horse Western series, which has over 40 entries featuring titles like Son of a Gun, Hammer of God, and Canyon of the Dead. These were published mostly between 2006 and 2020, making up a significant chunk of his total output.

On the thriller side, Towns has the Team Reaper Thriller series with 20 books (starting with Retribution in 2019), the Fear the Reaper series with 10 entries, and the Dave Nash Thriller series.
