Brenda Lozano is a Mexican author born in Mexico City in 1981. She writes literary fiction that explores identity, feminism, and Mexican culture. Her work has been translated into multiple languages, bringing her stories to an international readership.
Lozano published her debut novel “Todo nada” in 2009, followed by “Cuaderno ideal” in 2014, which was translated into English as “Loop.” Her most recognized work is “Brujas” (2020), published in English as “Witches,” a novel that weaves together the stories of two women across different time periods to examine traditional healing, violence against women, and life in rural Mexico.
She has also contributed to anthologies, including “Tsunami” (2015), a collection of writing by Latin American women.
